BIOS:
Sara is the Deputy Director of the Penn Injury Science Center, where she oversees operations of the Injury Control Research Center. She directs the Penn Community Violence Prevention Program, a community-engaged initiative dedicated to reducing violence in West and Southwest Philadelphia. Furthermore, she co-directs the Penn Community Scholars Program (Penn CSP) and the REACH Initiative (Research & Equity in Academic-Community Partnerships for Health), two complementary training programs that establish a bi-directional bridge between academics and the community, fostering equitable, mutually beneficial community-engaged research and practice.
